Ms. Carly Sturm is the Jose Antonio Vargas Elementary School Principal.
Ms. Sturm joins has a strong background of 15+ years of instructional leadership in the San Jose Bay Area. She is passionate about creating a school environment where every student feels supported, and parents and staff feel connected and heard.
She recently served as the principal of Lakewood Elementary in the Sunnyvale School District. She has worked as the Assistant Principal at Cumberland Elementary School (Sunnyvale) and worked as an elementary instructional coach in the Union School District, where she taught grades fourth and fifth. She has also taught seventh grade language arts in the Diocese of San Jose.
She has a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University SLO, and a master’s degree from San Jose State University.
