Getting there:
Arrive early! Street parking for the event is very limited and parking lots will fill up. Please plan to walk or carpool, and allow extra time. Parking is not permitted on N. Whisman Rd. Street parking is available on Gladys, James, and Minaret (see map below).
Additionally, the MV Community Shuttle passes the school. Please see the
map here.
On the GRAY ROUTE, the Whisman Station or Whisman/Middlefield stops are close. Bus arrives 4:16 PM
On the RED, arrive 4:07 or 4:36.
Leave (last trips) 5:15 and 5:36 respectively

Thank you for your patience with the dust and noise as we created the facilities that students, staff and the community deserve. The first day of school is August 19.
School facts:
In August, students in your neighborhood will be attending the newly constructed Jose Antonio Vargas Elementary in the Mountain View Whisman School District.
The school is named for Jose Antonio Vargas, a former Pulitzer Prize- winning journalist who is also an immigration rights activist.

Gracias por su paciencia con el polvo y ruido al crear estas instalaciones para los estudiantes, personal y la comunidad se merece. El primer dia de escuela es lunes 19 de agosto.
Hechos de la Escuela
En agosto, los estudiantes de su vecindario estarán atendiendo la nueva construida escuela primaria Jose Antonio Vargas en el Distrito Escolar de Mountain View Whisman.
La escuela se llama Jose Antonio Vargas, por un previo residente de Mountain View y un periodista ganador del premio pulitzer quien es también un activista de los derechos de Inmigración.
